As part of my work as a study tour leader I do a lot of location scouting. China’s New Retail features heavily in my tour programs since it has high levels of interest outside China and is one of the more visible and easily accessible aspects of Chinese digital innovation. I have visited close to 60 new retail locations in Shanghai, Beijing and Hangzhou, evaluating them for our tours.
