In 2017 ChinaTalk’s Ed Sander had the pleasure of lecturing about digital innovation on a most amazing stage at Sogeti’s VINT Symposium 2017 (click here to see the Dutch video).
In September 2018 Sogeti invited Ed to repeat his presentation at a customer event in Barcelona. As a result, we’re happy to now also be able to share an English version of this presentation with you.
The theme of both events was ‘digital happiness’ and Ed uses the popular Chinese app WeChat to illustrate how digital happiness in China is driven by the extreme convenience that this all-in-one app offers to the online population. Using a day in a life of a young professional called Ting Ting, he shows the audience how it can be used or chatting, mobile payment, ordering food, making hospital appointments and much more. Ed also touches on recent developments in New Retail and shows how China’s digital innovations are starting to influence western platforms like Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram.
